California is the nation's number one agricultural producer and exporter in the US. Some significant points:
California now represents 10% of the nation's workforce and 10%
of the nation's population (nearly 23,000,000), an abundant labor
supply. If California were ranked as a nation in terms of gross
national product (GNP), California would be the 8th largest economy
in the world.
Approximately 3 1/2 million Americans actually raise the
food that is produced in the U.S.
These 3 1/2 million people produce another 23 million jobs.
Agriculture produces 1 out of every 5 jobs in the U.S. The U.S.
farmers produce the greatest bounty of food of any nation on earth
at half the price of other countries, relative to man hours of labor
to purchase the food.
The demand for food is expected to increase dramatically in the
next several years based on the doubling of world population, which
is growing at a frightening rate of 200,000 new people each
day-eighty million a year.
The average Soviet agricultural worker grows enough to feed 9 other people - the same level of productivity US farmers had in the year 1900.
Today the average US. worker produces enough to feed about 50
people.
With 6% of the world population, the US. produces 15% of the world
food supply. In a world where food is becoming as valuable as
energy, the productivity of American farmers is finally being seen
in its true light as a force of power, means of profit, and a
possible weapon for peace.
It is estimated that approximately 1 112 to 2 million acres of
prime farm ground is urbanized each year in the US. In California
the rich farmland throughout the state is being
converted to industrial, housing, recreational, or governmental
(freeways, etc.) use. It can be concluded that urbanization will
continue to consume prime farmland. The remaining
productive certainly will increase in value.
California farmland property is still a bargain. Unlike
commercial real estate, farmland cannot be overbuilt or suffer from
transitional absolution. Commodity prices will fluctuate yearly, the
trend has always been upward.
With
decreasing land availability and increasing world population, the
demand for food continues to rise. Thus, owning a parcel of
California real estate becomes a most secure inflation edge.
The security of the capital you invest is unrivaled in most areas of
the world.
Income Tax
The present income tax structure for the American farmer is probably
the most favorable since the formation of the Internal Revenue
Service, We are experts in creating tax shelters through ownership
of agricultural property. There has never been a better
opportunity to save a substantial amount of the income taxes you are
now paying.
