Topography: Ninelands sits on 194 acres of beautifully maintained duck habitat. The hunting grounds are well taken care of with a variety of plant growth that provides both feed and nesting habitat for waterfowl. The club is undergoing some renovations on the grounds to ensure another successful hunting season. The new upgrades include new water management pipes which will allow quicker and more efficient water dispersement throughout the club. Ninelands is also developing new swales and nesting islands raising low spots and giving the club more “ducky” features.
WATER: Ninelands sits right west of the Montezuma Slough which provides 90% of the clubs water. The other 10% comes from re-circulation of tail water. The club is filled through gravity flow. The cost of the water, levee maintenance, and water district fees are approximately $1,974 per quarter. The water district is the 1607 and per the seller has been very good with no problems in the past of receiving water. Water for drinking, cooking, showering etc. is provided by a fresh water tank which is outside of the cabin and is filled by truck at a cost of approximately $500 for 2000 gallons.
CLUBHOUSE: Ninelands has a wonderful clubhouse that has undergone major upgrades and renovations. In the last two years the club house has had over $75,000 in upgrades. The club house has 10 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a fully functional kitchen with all new appliances. The club house also has a pier right outside the door on the Montezuma Slough that provides great fishing for sturgeon, striper, catfish and many other types of fish.
Comments: This duck club is very unique. It
is nestled in the Suisun Marsh where on a regular basis according to
my tour guide you can see Tule elk which
consists of a herd of
approximately 150 animals. I
have spoken to many people that hunt in the marsh and say it has
great hunting for all species of waterfowl.
Another remarkable fact is
that it is close to the bay area. While
at the club you can see the city of
